Coursework - 60%

Written Examination - 40%

Exam Board: EDEXCEL

You will take four activities which are assessed by the teachers using examination board criteria and by an external assessor.

These activities have varied from year to year depending upon the composition of the group and its strengths.

10% of the mark is given for analysis of an activity chosen by you.

The final 40% is awarded for the theory element which looks at training methods and body systems.

Home Learning:

You will do a variety of tasks. You will be asked to produce a Personal Exercise Plan, engage in reinforcement of theory work and carry out individual practical work to improve performance in the practical activities.

Coursework Requirements:

You will have to plan, carry out and evaluate a Personal Exercise Plan(PEP) to improve your fitness. This written work will link the theory of training methods and their practical application.
