If you have a problem with another student within College, Peer Mentors, Ms Croucher and Mrs Lyden can help you resolve your problem we will meet with you and the other students concerned, and asking a set of questions which will help you find a way to feel at ease with one another, the meeting can only happen if you all agree.
Ms Croucher, Mrs Lyden and all of the Peer Mentors have had special training to deal with these situations.
Ms Croucher, Mrs Lyden, or any Peer Mentor will be able to arrange a meeting. Then you will be asked a short set of questions about the problem and given a time and place to meet.
During the meeting you will both be asked the same questions, which will let you explain to the other student what has gone on and how you feel. Then you will try to find a way to feel at ease with each other again.
During the meeting you will not be told what to do, but the questions will help you find your own way to make an agreement with one another. You will then be given the option of having the agreement written down and signed by everyone at the meeting and kept in a confidential place.
You can have a copy to take home if you would like.
In most cases the information shared within the meeting you have will be respected by the people within the room, however in some cases with your knowledge information will be passed on to Ms Croucher or Mrs Lyden, this will be discussed with you first.
